Data Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 3, 2026

This data privacy policy (“Policy”) applies to all Personal Data (as defined below) collected by Vizmoi International Pte. Ltd. (referred to herein as “Vizmoi”, “us”, “we” or “our”). Please take a moment to read this Policy so that you know and understand the purposes for which we collect, use, and disclose your Personal Data.

By utilising the Vizmoi mobile application (referred to herein as “application” or “platform”), submitting information to us, or signing up for any products and services offered by us on the platform, you agree and consent to Vizmoi, as well as our respective representatives and/or agents, collecting, using, disclosing, and sharing among themselves your Personal Data, and disclosing such Personal Data to our authorised service providers (including our Data Intermediaries) and relevant third parties in the manner and for the purposes set forth in this Policy.

This Policy supplements but does not supersede nor replace any other consent you may have previously provided to Vizmoi in respect of your Personal Data, and your consent herein is additional to any rights which Vizmoi may have at law to collect, use, or disclose your Personal Data.

Vizmoi may from time to time update this Policy to ensure that it is consistent with our future developments, industry trends, and/or any changes in legal or regulatory requirements. Subject to your rights at law, you agree to be bound by the prevailing terms of this Policy as updated from time to time on our websites, applications, and digital services. Please check back for updated information on the handling of your Personal Data.

Vizmoi does not sell your Personal Data. We do not authorise our service providers to sell or share your Personal Data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

1.Definitions

1.1.In this Policy, unless the context otherwise requires:

“Aggregate Information” means information that has been aggregated, anonymised, or de-identified such that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual.

“Data Intermediary” means a third-party organisation that processes Personal Data on Vizmoi’s behalf and under Vizmoi’s instructions, including cloud infrastructure providers and AI processing vendors.

“E2EE” means end-to-end encryption, a technical measure under which the content of a communication can be read only by the sender and the intended recipient(s), and is not accessible to Vizmoi or any other third party in transit or while temporarily stored on Vizmoi’s servers.

“PDPA” means the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore, including all subsidiary legislation, Advisory Guidelines, and codes of practice issued by the Personal Data Protection Commission from time to time.

“Personal Data” has the meaning set out in Section 2.

2.Personal Data

2.1.In this Policy, “Personal Data” refers to any data, whether true or not, about a user who can be identified either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which Vizmoi has or is likely to have access.

2.2.Examples of such Personal Data include but are not limited to:

  1. (a)account information such as your name, date of birth, age and eligibility confirmations (for example, that you are 18 years of age or older), phone number(s), email address(es), and other information you provide when creating or managing your account. Vizmoi uses passwordless authentication (currently via one-time passcodes sent to your registered email address) and does not collect or store passwords;
  2. (b)if you apply to post a “Service” listing (subject to our annual membership), we may collect professional certifications, identification documents, and your Vizmoi ID to verify your qualifications. Verification documents may be submitted to us via an in-app form or by email, at your option, and are kept strictly for internal safety and compliance records. Vizmoi may display a “Verified” badge on the relevant service listing (not on your user profile), and we do not share your underlying verification documents with other users;
  3. (c)contact synchronization data such as phone numbers, emails, and Vizmoi-specific 12-digit IDs or QR codes;
  4. (d)user-generated content such as text, photos, videos, location data, files, gig/job postings, and business advertisements;
  5. (e)precise or approximate location data from your mobile device to facilitate local discovery (e.g., showing you nearby businesses, offers, or local gigs), subject to your device permissions. Please note that Vizmoi does not collect background location; location data is collected only while you are actively using the application and not when the application is closed or not in use. Location data collected by the platform is used solely for the platform features described in this Policy and is not used for emergency service routing. The platform is not a replacement for a telephone line or emergency services;
  6. (f)network and device metadata, such as your IP address, connection logs, network type, hardware model, operating system, unique device identifiers, and push-notification tokens used to deliver in-app notifications;
  7. (g)payment and billing information if you subscribe to our tiered annual membership or purchase other paid features (e.g., advertising placements). Please note that applicable fees may vary by jurisdiction. Billing and payment data may be processed by our authorised third-party payment gateway providers in the jurisdiction in which your payment is processed
  8. (h)usage and interaction data on the platform.

2.3.Note on End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): The platform’s private 1:1 messaging, user-created group chats, voice calls, and video calls are secured using E2EE. The platform cannot read, listen to, or intercept the content of your private communications. However, as an exception, if you or another user utilises the in-app "Report" function to flag abusive or immoral behaviour, or a marketplace dispute, the application locally decrypts the specifically reported message (along with up to five preceding and succeeding messages to provide context) on the reporting user's device, using keys available to that user, and forwards them to our moderation team for review. Vizmoi does not store or maintain users' encryption keys. Please note that E2EE does not apply to other in-app messaging contexts such as listing chats (e.g., Places, Services, Jobs, Gigs, Housing), Clubs, or Support tickets.

3.Collection of Personal Data

3.1.Generally, we collect Personal Data in the following ways:

  1. (a)when you sign up for a Vizmoi account using your email address (Vizmoi sign-up and login are currently passwordless, using time-limited one-time passcodes sent to your registered email);
  2. (b)when you use our platform’s features, including the Jobs/Gigs marketplace, business listings, or social discovery network;
  3. (c)when you synchronize your device’s contact list with our platform;
  4. (d)third-party authentication: For backup and restore functionality (e.g., recovering backups on a new device via Google Drive or iCloud), you may choose to link a third-party service (such as Apple or Google). Vizmoi may store a long-lived authorization token (e.g., a refresh token) to enable this functionality across devices. Please note that account creation and login are currently conducted using email;
  5. (e)when you purchase an annual membership, advertising placement, or other paid features through our third-party payment gateways;
  6. (f)when you interact with our customer support teams or officers (for example, via emails, telephone calls, letters, or social media platforms), or when you ask to be contacted regarding your enquiries and/or feedback;
  7. (g)when you request that we contact you or request that you be included in an email or other mailing list;
  8. (h)when you respond to our initiatives or promotions; and
  9. (i)through our use of cookies, when you browse or use our platform.

3.2.If you provide us with any Personal Data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your spouse, children, parents, and/or employees), by submitting such information to us, you represent and warrant to us that you have obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their Personal Data for the respective purposes.

3.3.You should ensure that all Personal Data submitted to us is complete, accurate, true and correct. Failure on your part to do so may result in our inability to provide you with the products and services you have requested.

3.4.If you choose to synchronise your device’s contact list with the platform, we use this data strictly to match you with other users who already have an account with us. Vizmoi does not contact, message, or send invitations to your contacts on your behalf. If you wish to invite a non-user to join the platform, you must do so yourself outside the platform.

4.Purposes for the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Your Personal Data

4.1.Generally, we may collect, use, disclose and/or retain your Personal Data for the following purposes:

  1. (a)to facilitate account registration;
  2. (b)to provide, operate, and manage the platform and its services, including but not limited to voice and video calls and facilitating the Jobs/Gigs bulletin board. For the avoidance of doubt, Vizmoi processes Personal Data in connection with the Jobs/Gigs marketplace solely as a mechanism to facilitate discovery of and communication about employment or freelance opportunities between users. Vizmoi does not act as an employer, employment agent, or party to any employment or service arrangement;
  3. (c)to facilitate local discovery and display nearby promotions, marketplace content or advertisements utilising your location data;
  4. (d)to process payment for your annual subscriptions;
  5. (e)to train and refine our AI-powered recommendation systems (e.g., “Places you might like”);
  6. (f)to enforce safety, security, and age-gating restrictions, such as hiding restricted business advertisements from underage users, and managing dispute resolutions;
  7. (g)to provide aggregated, non-personally identifiable business analytics to businesses regarding the performance of their campaigns;
  8. (h)to assist you with your enquiries;
  9. (i)to help us improve our services to you;
  10. (j)to send you marketing and promotional materials regarding our products, services, or third-party business offers, subject to your communication preferences and in compliance with applicable spam control laws and the Do Not Call provisions under the PDPA, including the Do Not Call Registry requirements. Please note that service messages and security alerts necessary for the operation of your account are not considered marketing communications, and you may not opt out of them while you maintain an active account;
  11. (k)to conduct research, surveys, and interviews;
  12. (l)to keep you updated on platform updates and events;
  13. (m)to conduct statistical studies and analysis; and
  14. (n)to disclose to a third party in compliance with any law, legal requirements, orders, directions and/or requests from any court, authority or government body of any jurisdiction, which may be within or outside Singapore.

5.Advertising, Recommendations and AI

5.1.The platform may use your account information, location data, and usage data to determine which advertisements (such as Offers, Promotions, and Marketing) and business recommendations are displayed to you. We do not share your Personal Data with advertisers. Advertisers receive only Aggregate Information about the performance of their campaigns.

5.2.We offer AI-powered recommendations (such as “Places you might like”). We use your usage data, location data, and public posts to train and refine the machine-learning models that generate these recommendations. The content of your private E2EE messages, voice calls, and video calls is strictly excluded and is never used to train these or any other models.

6.Disclosure of Personal Data

6.1.Vizmoi will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data against misuse, loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law, your Personal Data may be provided, where applicable, for the purposes set listed above, to the following entities or parties, whether they are located in Singapore or overseas:

  1. (a)Vizmoi International Pte. Ltd.;
  2. (b)agents, contractors or third-party data service providers who provide operational services to us, such as cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and AI processors;
  3. (c)other users on the platform;
  4. (d)third-party integrations (e.g. restaurant or hotel reservation systems) that you choose to connect with;
  5. (e)our professional advisers such as consultants, auditors and lawyers;
  6. (f)relevant government regulators, statutory boards or authorities or law enforcement agencies in compliance with any laws, rules, guidelines and regulations or schemes imposed by any government authority; and
  7. (g)any other party whom you authorise us to disclose your Personal Data to.

7.Use of Cookies

7.1.When you interact with us on our platform, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your mobile device. We may use cookies, local storage, device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to operate and improve our platform. The Cookies placed by our servers are readable only by us, cannot access or modify any other data on your electronic device, and do not inherently capture data that directly identifies you by name.

7.2.We utilise these Cookies to remember your session, track your online preferences, and understand how you interact with the platform’s features in order to personalize your user experience. The platform may also collect interaction analytics (e.g., click/tap patterns such as hotspots or heatmaps) to improve UI/UX, content placement, and overall user experience. This may be implemented via scripts, SDKs, and similar technologies on our websites, landing pages, and/or within the application, and may involve authorized service providers acting as Data Intermediaries. The platform may also use your language preferences and location information to provide localized content (e.g., language-specific support pages). Where applicable, the application may pass a language/locale preference to our website when you open support links to retain your language preference for a seamless user experience.

7.3.We may also collect, pool, or analyse Aggregate Information. This includes metrics such as the total number of users, frequency of use, screen/page views, and common entry and exit points. We use this Aggregate Information to analyse platform usage trends and enhance the overall performance of our services.

7.4.You generally have the option to manage, block, or refuse Cookies through your device’s operating system permissions or application settings. Please note that if you choose to refuse or disable our Cookies, it will limit our tracker-based data collection, but it will not prevent the collection of essential operational data required to run the app. However, refusing Cookies may negatively affect or restrict your ability to use certain functions and features of the platform.

8.Third Party Sites

8.1.Our platform may contain links to other websites, applications, or services operated by third parties independent of Vizmoi (such as external business websites, third-party booking systems, or payment gateways). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of such third-party services, even if they are linked to, or accessed through, our platform.

8.2.Any Personal Data you choose to provide directly to these third parties is governed by their respective privacy frameworks, not this Policy. We strongly encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of such third-party services by reviewing their notices before providing any Personal Data, and to contact their owners or operators directly if you have any concerns or questions.

9.Data Security

9.1.Vizmoi will make reasonable security arrangements and take appropriate administrative, physical, and technical measures to safeguard your Personal Data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks. These measures include up-to-date antivirus protection, encryption (including End-to-End Encryption for private communications), and disclosing Personal Data both internally and to our authorised third-party service providers and agents strictly on a need-to-know basis.

9.2.You should be aware, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your Personal Data, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us via the Internet or our platform, nor can we guarantee that no harmful code (for example, viruses, bugs, Trojan horses, spyware, or adware) will enter our platform. You are aware of and accept the inherent risks associated with using digital services and applications.

9.3.The platform uses passwordless logins (currently one-time passcodes (“OTPs”) sent to your registered email address). You should keep your login OTPs strictly confidential and not share them with any other person. Vizmoi will never ask you to disclose your OTP to our staff or representatives. The platform supports login on multiple devices; you should take care to sign out of the application on any shared, public, or borrowed device. Where supported by your device, you may enable the platform’s in-app biometric lock (e.g., fingerprint or Face ID) for additional security; this feature uses your device’s native biometric controls and Vizmoi does not receive or store your biometric data.

9.4.You should inform us as soon as reasonably practicable if you know or suspect that someone else has access to your credentials, if you believe the confidentiality of your credentials has been lost, stolen, or compromised in any way, or if actual or possible unauthorised transactions have taken place. Because the platform supports multi-device login, it is important to remember to sign out from shared devices to prevent unauthorized access. You may also utilize the biometric lock feature (e.g., fingerprint or Face ID) within the application for added security. Vizmoi is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from security breaches arising out of the unauthorised and/or fraudulent use of your credentials or account access.

9.5.In the event of a personal data breach that results in, or is likely to result in, significant harm to you, or affects a significant scale of individuals, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected users as soon as practicable, in accordance with our obligations under the PDPA.

9.6.Notwithstanding any other provision of this Policy, Vizmoi and its authorised vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers shall not be liable for any unauthorised access to, loss of, or disclosure of your Personal Data resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to malicious cyberattacks, force majeure events, or failures attributable to third-party telecommunications or infrastructure providers.

10.Access, Correction and Transmission of Personal Data

10.1.If you wish to make (a) an access request for access to a copy of the Personal Data which we hold about you or information about the ways in which we use or disclose your Personal Data, (b) a correction request to correct or update any of your Personal Data, or (c) a transmission request to have your Personal Data transmitted to another organisation in a commonly used machine-readable format, you may submit a written application to our Data Protection Officer in the manner prescribed in the “Data Protection Officer” section below.

10.2.Please note that a reasonable administrative fee may be charged for processing an access request. If a fee is applicable, we will inform you of the fee amount before processing your request.

10.3.We will respond to your request as soon as reasonably possible. Should we not be able to respond to your request within thirty (30) days after receiving your request, we will inform you in writing within thirty (30) days of the time by which we will be able to respond to your request.

10.4.If we are unable to provide you with access to your Personal Data or to make a correction requested by you, we shall generally inform you of the reasons why we are unable to do so (except where we are legally exempted or not required to do so under the PDPA or other applicable laws).

11.Accuracy of Personal Data

11.1.We generally rely on you for the accuracy of your Personal Data. In order to ensure that your Personal Data is current, complete, and accurate, please update your profile settings directly within the application if there are changes to your Personal Data, or contact our Data Protection Officer if you require assistance.

12.Retention of Personal Data

12.1.We may retain your Personal Data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by applicable laws. Note that encrypted messages and media are stored only temporarily; Vizmoi may retain encrypted content on its servers for up to 30 days to support delivery to all intended recipients, after which it is automatically deleted.

12.2.We will cease to retain your Personal Data, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you (anonymisation), as soon as it is reasonable to assume that such retention no longer serves the purpose(s) for which the Personal Data was collected and is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.

12.3.We do not maintain centralised backups of your private E2EE communications. You are solely responsible for backing up your chat history to your personal cloud storage (e.g., Apple iCloud, Google Drive) or local device. Media files (such as photos and videos) shared on the platform are stored on your own device and displayed within the application. Vizmoi does not retain a server-side copy of such media and accordingly cannot recover any media that has been deleted from your device. If you sign in on a new device, you may have the option to start fresh instead of restoring previously encrypted chat history from your personal cloud storage; if you choose this option, previously encrypted chat history may become inaccessible across your devices, and Vizmoi cannot recover this lost data. Vizmoi disclaims all liability for any data loss resulting from a failure to perform local or cloud backups.

12.4.If you choose to delete your Vizmoi account, please note that certain content you have previously posted or uploaded to the platform (such as job listings, business listings, advertisements, or public posts) may continue to remain accessible on the platform for operational, safety, or compliance purposes until it is reviewed and removed by our moderation or operations team. You may contact our Data Protection Officer to request the expedited removal of specific content in connection with your account deletion request.

13.Transfers of Personal Data Outside of Singapore

13.1.The platform’s systems are hosted on global cloud platforms (such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform). To provide our services effectively, your data—including temporary message routing and long-term metadata storage—may be transmitted through, processed, and stored in data centers located across the globe (for example, in the United States).

13.2.For any transfer of your Personal Data to countries or territories outside of Singapore, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that your Personal Data continues to receive a standard of protection that is at least comparable to that provided under the PDPA. We achieve this by implementing legally binding instruments or requiring our Data Intermediaries to be legally bound by comparable data protection standards.

14.Withdrawal of Consent

14.1.The consent that you provide for the collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Data will remain valid until such time it is withdrawn by you. You may withdraw your consent and request us to stop using and/or disclosing your Personal Data for any or all of the purposes set out in this Policy by adjusting your privacy settings directly within the application (where applicable) or by submitting a written request to our Data Protection Officer in the manner prescribed in the “Data Protection Officer” section below.

14.2.Upon receipt of your written request to withdraw your consent, we may require a reasonable amount of time (depending on the complexity of the request and its impact on our relationship with you) for your request to be processed and for us to notify you of the consequences of us acceding to the same, including any legal consequences which may affect your rights and liabilities to us. In general, we shall seek to process your request within ten (10) business days of receiving it.

14.3.Whilst we respect your decision to withdraw your consent, please note that if you withdraw your consent for us to use your Personal Data for any purposes which we regard as necessary to provide you with the platform's core services, we may no longer be in a position to continue providing the platform to you (for instance, this may result in the termination of your account). We shall, in such circumstances, notify you before completing the processing of your request. Should you decide to cancel your withdrawal of consent, please inform us in writing in the manner described in the “Data Protection Officer” section below.

14.4.Please note that withdrawing your consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use, and disclose Personal Data where such collection, use, and disclosure without your consent is permitted or required under the PDPA or other applicable laws.

15.Children’s Privacy

15.1.Our platform is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with Personal Data without your consent, please contact our Data Protection Officer. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take immediate steps to delete such information and terminate the respective account.

16.Data Protection Officer

16.1.Vizmoi has appointed a Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) to oversee all matters relating to data protection and privacy, including ensuring compliance with the PDPA, managing data protection risks, and handling requests and enquiries from users relating to their Personal Data. You may contact our DPO at the contact details set out below if you have any enquiries or feedback on our Personal Data protection policies and procedures, or wish to withdraw your consent to any use or disclosure of your Personal Data as set out in this Policy. In addition, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the Personal Data Protection Commission at www.pdpc.gov.sg if you believe that Vizmoi has not complied with its obligations under the PDPA.

Email: privacy@vizmoi.com

17.Governing Law

17.1.This Policy and your use of the platform shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Singapore.

17.2.Our platform is operated and managed from Singapore. If you choose to access or use the platform from jurisdictions outside of Singapore, you do so on your own initiative and at your own risk. By using the platform, you expressly consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your Personal Data in Singapore and other global data centers as outlined in this Policy, subject to Singapore law.
